What is an LLM?
A large language model (LLM) is a machine-learning model trained on text so it can predict and generate language. Products use LLMs for chat, summarisation, extraction, and tool calling.
An LLM is not a database and not your company. It will invent plausible text if you let it. Grounding (RAG), evaluation, and UI that shows uncertainty are how products stay honest.
